About us

ASMiRA – Association for the Studies of Migration, Refuge and Statelessness – is an association founded by students and alumni of the Law Faculty of the University of Milan who share an interest in Human Rights, Refugee Law and forced migrations.

Aware of the complexity of the massive migration fluxes and displacements of people that characterize our time, ASMiRA takes into consideration both the law stricto sensu  -national and international-, and the geopolitical context in which forced migrations originate, with the aim to conduct a constant analysis and monitoring of whether the current stage of legislation is adequate to regulate these phenomena and to guarantee the respect of migrants and refugees rights.

Among the various activities carried out by ASMiRA, there is: the continuous update of a database containing information about conferences, internships, graduate and post-graduate courses on the abovementioned topics, both in Italy and abroad; seminars, courses, conferences and workshops; a bibliographical collection of doctrine on Refugee and Human Rights Law.

ASMiRA will strive to fulfill its aims confident that a shared knowledge and experience are essential in reaching personal, educational and professional maturity.
